How to Sponsor a Write-a-Thon Writer
Sponsoring one or more Write-a-Thon writers is fun and easy. Donate any amount you choose. Every donation, large or small, provides moral support for your chosen writers and financial support for Clarion. Plus, each donation moves your writers closer to better and better incentive rewards.
Just follow these simple steps:
One -- Choose Your Clarion

Clarion West
Clarion South
All of the Clarions share expertise and moral support, but funds are kept separate. Please consider sponsoring writers representing each of the Clarions. Donations to Clarion and Clarion West are tax deductible in the United States. The Clarion Foundation and Clarion West are nonprofit educational organizations under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Please check with your tax advisor if you live outside the U.S. or are donating to Clarion South. After you've sent your donation you will receive a thank-you letter acknowledging your gift. The letter can be used as a receipt for tax purposes.
Two -- Choose Your Writers and Donate
To sponsor a writer, browse through the Write-a-Thon Participant List. Clicking on a writer's name takes you to their personal Write-a-Thon page, where you'll find writing samples, lists of publications, Write-a-Thon goals, and other details. Each writer's page also includes web payment buttons and payment-by-mail instructions. Donate whatever suits your budget -- $1/week, $5/week, $20/week, or more -- or just a flat amount for the six weeks. Every donation helps, no matter how large or small. For extra fun, sponsor more than one writer. If you're a writer participant yourself, donate to your writer friends! Egg each other on! Grab a Write-a-Thon badge for your web page, blog, and social networking pages!

Three -- Watch Your Writers Go!
Most writers set goals for the Write-a-Thon. Those goals may include not only finishing a particular piece of work, but also bringing in donations at a particular level. Maybe your writer just likes the idea of earning $500 for Clarion. Or maybe she has her eye on a particular incentive reward. Stay in touch with your writers, so you'll know if they need a little extra push to get where they want to go!
